Robert Ellison is a former police officer who transferred to the Bar in 1995 after thirteen years’ service. He is regularly instructed in highly complex cases and brings to them an unflappable calm. His command of factually demanding evidence is considered superb and his jury trial record is impressive. Judges and juries alike are persuaded by his natural authority and we are delighted that he has consented to join this panel.
Robert’s notable case include R v Iqbal and others (19 defendant banking and credit card fraud), R v Dable and others (Gangland stabbing), R v V and others (Boiler Room fraud) and R v K (Conspiracy to pervert the course of justice in a murder case).
Robert regularly acts for serving police officers before the disciplinary tribunal.
